Webcam Placement and Lighting Tips

Good video quality is less about an expensive camera and more about placement and light. Position your webcam at eye level so you are looking straight ahead rather than up or down. This creates a more natural, engaged presence on calls.

Lighting should come from in front of you, not behind. A window facing you is the easiest free option. If natural light is inconsistent, a small desk light with a diffuser can even things out. Avoid harsh overhead lights that cast shadows under your eyes.

Finally, check your background for distractions and keep the lens clean. These small adjustments take minutes but make every call look more polished.
